Creche Exhibit/ Nativity

This year was my first time EVER experiencing a creche exhibit. I was AMAZED at how beautiful it was! I have never seen the church look as pretty as it did the weekend that the exhibit was going on. We were there saturday for the kids to do some singing with the little children's choir, then Skyler performed in the live nativity ( he was a shepard). We also went back sunday for him to perform again so that Mike could be there to watch him. I have seen live nativities before but they were always in a much bigger setting, and something about the intimacy of this one really touched me. The kids also had a great time making cookies and art and doing all sorts of things, the best part was that they did this all surrounded by people/ kids they knew and loved.

Treworgy Farms.... again

Today was supposed to be a nice relaxing day home for all of us. Skyler was off from school for columbus day and I wanted to just bum around. Until I heard that it is supposed to snow tomorrow.... oh my! So I freaked out and decided to bring the kids to Treworgy to pick pumpkins before they all die from frost. I think it was a good choice.

Here we are....

Poor Madi

-

I already know Madison is accident prone but it's getting really bad. :(

This happened at Target from slipping on the wet floors on the way in. I did get a $25 gift card if that makes a difference. :)

I thought she needed some stiches but I guess lips heal quickly so nothing but waiting.

On the other note---------

Here's a cute pic I found that skyler took of her the other day

Fall Art

I love doing art projects with my kids, unfortunately this summer came and went so quick that I never really had the time to do any. But now I'm back on track and loving the finished results. Here are some pics of what we did this week ( Painting mini pumpkins, hand print trees, apple prints) We also made a big batch of homemade cinnamon applesauce. It was delicious!!

Fall Soccer & a new friend for Madison

Skyler started soccer a few weeks ago and has been LOVING it!
Not to mention he isn't to bad. It started out tough trying to manage all 3 kids and still see what Skyler was doing during practices but Madison being the social butterfly that she is....

Has made a friend- Samantha- the coaches daughter-------------------->

So now things are a little easier and I get to spend quality time with Aubrie while I cheer Skyler on!

Movie night at the Saunders

We had such a fun time at the outdoor movie night that we went to at Bridgette and Gary's. Mike was tired so he stayed home with Aubrie. So I got a nice "relaxing" night out with Skyler and Madi. We watched Toy Story 2 and had Hot Cocoa and popcorn. It was sooo much fun!

I love......

This Girl!!!!

AUBRIE SHEA!!

She will be 16 months old next week

I dont love her any more or any less than my other 2 children, but just the same.

I have to be honest, up until now I used to be quite annoyed by Aubrie. Mostly because she was so different than my other two kids and I really didn't know what to do with her. She ALWAYS had something in her mouth that shouldn't have been there, she ALWAYS crawled, walked or ran in the opposite direction and ALWAYS screeched as high-pitched as she could.

Most of you who spend any time with me have picked up on this, hopefully you never thought I neglected her but I have gotten in the habit to just let her chew on whatever it is in her mouth, and let her walk away from me as long as I KNOW she isnt in IMMEDIATE danger.

Either way, she has changed lately, she is becoming very MOTHERING, PATIENT, she doesn't put AS MUCH in her mouth, she still walks away to do her own thing but I am working on that :)

I love spending alone time with her and watching her play "mommy" to the baby dolls and push them in the stroller. This is something Madison was never interested in so it's fun to watch. I also love helping her get " dressed up" and seeing her in the little tu-tu's and cute stuff.

I am very happy that she is growing up and am looking forward to the changes ahead.

And thanks to everyone who has watched me let her chew on unknown objects and not called to report me!!
